La Mansión visited Marian Hall today to give the deprived young men some parang and other styles of music, much to the delight of the young men and their charges.
You would think that Parang Music may be considered 'unpopular' at the end of January, especially in the middle of the Carnival period, but not for La Mansión! And certainly not for the dwellers of Marian Hall. Members of La Mansión provided light refreshments along with the serenade, where they even sang Latin Pop, Soca and even Reggae. This naturally was appreciated among the boys.
La Mansión was joined by Joey Charles on vocals and cuatro, and by DJ Brandon on guitar.
'We wanted to do this since Christmas, but the band was fully booked", said leader and mandolinist Rico DG (Enrico Camejo).
Mr. Camejo was also very happy that the band performed at the most amount of charitable causes last year. He also said,
"I am a firm believer that charity doesn't decrease wealth, but brings blessings into one's life. Those who give generously are often rewarded with unexpected financial gains, success in their endeavours, and an overall sense of prosperity."
